Compensation:

Mission of Torre:

What makes you a strong candidate:

• You are beginner in A/B testing and data analysis.
• English - Fully fluent.

Responsibilities and more:
Hi! I'm Renan Peixoto, Head of Engineering at Torre. We are looking for a Product-Minded Software Engineer to help us build the future of recruitment. This is your chance to be part of something big, with incredible growth opportunities as we scale.

WHAT IS TORRE?
At Torre, we're building AI recruiters who replicate human intuition. They automatically attract candidates, engage them, screen them, rank them, present them, and provide them with feedback. We analyze 100+ factors with nine types of AI to match candidates with companies, teams, and leaders. The result: we make recruiting faster, more accurate, less discriminatory, and significantly less expensive. Our end goal is to build THE matching network for work.

We offer three product lines for companies: Torre OS, Torre Reach, and Torre RPO. You'd directly impact the first two.

Watch our five-minute demo:
• English: torre.ai/demo
• Spanish: torre.ai/es/demo.

Once we meet, I'll share more information with you.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AND KPIS:
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and implement product features.
• Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve product functionality and user experience. They must be scalable, fast-response, cross-browser, and cross-device applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain web applications and services.
• Debug and troubleshoot, conduct software testing, write automated tests, and ensure quality deliverables.
• Continually suggest and implement improvements to our existing product and code base.
• Learn, grow, and intentionally expand your skills and reach.

You'll share the KPIs of the product development team:
• NPS (Net Promoter Score)
• Net Revenue Retention Rate
• Number of applications
• Number of hires
• On-time delivery
• DORA metrics
• Product performance (Core Web Vitals)
• Product quality (Number of bugs)
• Uptime
• Test coverage

YOUR POTENTIAL CAREER PATH:

We expect you to commit to at least two years in this position. The experience you earn will enable you to grow into other roles, such as Tech Leadership, Staff+ Engineering, or Product Design — at Torre or elsewhere.

THE TEAM:
You'll report directly to me or one of our tech leads. Nevertheless, you will work with many team members from different teams across the company.

TOOLS AT YOUR DISPOSAL:

• Version control and collaboration tools.
• CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment.
• Monitoring and logging tools to track product performance and uptime.
• A platform engineering team building internal libraries and services for an improved DevEx.
• Access to user feedback to monitor user behavior, needs, and NPS.
• A robust data warehouse for analytics and business intelligence.
• The help of the whole product development and analytics team.
OUR WORK CULTURE:
Most members of our senior team have been entrepreneurs. As such, you'll be surrounded by a group of passionate, hard-working, smart-working, tell-it-like-it-s, no-drama professionals. You can learn more about my expectations of you as my colleague & co-worker: Types of people whom I don’t enjoy working with (and why I avoid partnering with them).

We apply the scientific method to almost everything we do: ideate, hypothesize, experiment, analysis, repeat. We use this framework for product and marketing experiments (and even sales experiments): Experimento: A practical product management framework.

We are remote and agile. Among others, we do daily standup meetings dense with information: Estandap: highly efficient daily meetings for agile and remote teams.

We're data-driven. For example, here's how we determine our top client acquisition channels: Canales: A framework for identifying all client acquisition channels (and how Google Analytics sucks at it).

HIRING PROCESS:
1st. You'll apply via Torre.

2nd. I'll review your application. If you're a potential match, I'll contact you to answer any questions you may have.

3rd. We'll do a first interview.

4th. You'll complete one or more tests, during which you'll interact with our team to learn about your engineering and product development skills.

5th. I'll make you an offer.

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION:
Torre provides equal opportunities to all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. We are committed to a diverse and inclusive team and welcome people from all backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and abilities.

RESTRICTIONS:
To ensure diversity, inclusion, and operational continuity, we’re limiting the number of employees living in a single country. For this opening, we will not be hiring people from Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.

Also, we’re constrained by our contract, payment provider, and international work laws; unfortunately, we can’t hire candidates from the following countries: Afghanistan, Burundi, The Central African Republic, Congo Republic, Cuba, Crimea, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Iran, Iraq, Laos, Liberia, Libya, Myanmar, North Korea, Papua New Guinea, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Vanuatu, Venezuela, Yemen, and Zimbabwe.

• Equipment provided
• Quarterly time-off
• Stock options
